NICE Directors volunteer their time on an unpaid basis, they serve in accordance with NICE Rules and ensuring the co-op complies with statutory requirements. Directors are entitled to claim expenses incurred in the course of their role.
NICE Members
NICE attracted a diverse spectrum of community share investors. 95% were local N.I. residents - ranging from those that simply thought it was a worthwhile thing to do, those seeking a return on their money and those environmentally minded wishing to redress climate change in a just energy transition.
In December 2024 NICE was able to completely repay all NICE members remaining shareholding. All profit after expenses is now growing our community fund for further energy efficiency and sustainable energy projects! We are delighted and encouraged that 90% of NICE members chose to retain their £1 shares and continue their membership and interest in NICE .
